We are excited to present the National Alpaca Farm Day September 27-28, 2008. The Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association marketing committee has designed a comprehensive plan to increase awareness of alpacas. We hope you will visit an alpaca farm and join us to make this day successful. Our goal is for you to easily find an alpaca farm or ranch in your area to visit on Sept 27th and/or 28th.  This will give you an opportunity to learn alpacas and meet new people living this satisfying and rewarding lifestyle.

By now we hope you have seen the national ad running from July through September promoting National Alpaca Farm Day or perhaps you read an article in the summer issue of Alpacas Magazine that mentions this website www.AlpacaFarmDay.com. Whatever the reason, we are glad you are here and interested in finding a listing of participating farms located near you.

If you haven't seen it yet please take a look at the 16x20 poster for use to promote National Alpaca Farm Day. You may have already seen it in some retail establishments, such as your vet’s office, feed store, western clothing store, etc. Many states have received proclamations from their Governors declaring September 27-28, 2008 as National Alpaca Farm Day.

Over 1,000 alpaca farms are participating over the weekend of September27-28 and will be open for visitors. Every farm has their unique style of welcoming and educating visitors and you won’t want to miss this experience!

We welcome you to take part in the excitement of this special weekend in September!
